Rhinestone Cross

I purchased a pair of Rhinestone earrings in the shape of a cross last year. I always loved wearing them but stopped temporarily because as women, we change our styles so often. I recently picked them back up and wore them. When taking them off, I laid them down and walked off then happened to glance at them once more. A strange feeling came over me. I purchased rhinestone cross earrings. Let me be clear...they are earrings in the shape of the vice used in my savior's death sentence. I t...

Beyond our understanding

I'm amazed at how God is always revealing his will in my life and how my plans are not necessarily what his plans are for me. So many times, I don't understand what God is doing or why he allows certain people to enter or exit my life. People that I once thought would never turn their back on me have turned their backs on me and people that I didn't feel I could be friends with and wanted no part of have invaded my life and made me smile. Wow God. I'm learning that this walk is a li...

Did you do what was asked of you?

I had an incident today that has me thinking and I wanted to share it with you. Today, I was out of town at a sponsors office conducting an audit. The individual who accompanied me was hired specifically to assist me with my work. A few days ago, I gave specific instructions to my assistant on outlining some papers in such a way that would make it easier for me to conduct my audit review once I arrived at my sponsor's office. Once we arrived to conduct the audit, I was ready to hit the ground...

In God we trust

It's hard taking in all the tragedy around us every day. It can be overwhelming looking at the news and it is truly disheartening. But I am reminded in times such as these that Jesus gives us hope. He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Sometimes when we see so much pain, its hard to believe that God is in control or that we can believe what he's promised us. John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulatio...

The process

I was sitting still and thinking of 'The Process'. In my mind and for my personal belief, 'The process' is the individual path and time frame that God has predestined and established for each of his children in their lives. To me, my process seems to involve a lot of waiting. Maybe part of the process and the lesson in the process is that I must learn to trust God and be content in my waiting. This isn't easy for me. I want things here and now even though I know that if I get something w...

One thing that I never get used to is the unpredictablility of life and having to constantly be willing to flexible. Changes in our relationships, career, health, finances, or any number fo things causes us to have to make necessary decisions to change in what we do or how we are used to doing it. Change is uncomfortable and we can't become stagnate and refuse to change because everything changes. The one consistent in our lives is God. He never changes and his word n...

Born to do this

This world of writing can be very funny. It's emotional because I write what I feel and I want others to feel it also. But others don't always feel the way I do about my work. As a reader who absolutely loves to read, I am cognizant that I do not always like everyone's work. But does it take away from how they feel about their work? I hope not especially if they were born to do it. After having read a review that literally had me curled in a knot, :(I had to be reminded...
