It's hard taking in all the tragedy around us every day. It can be overwhelming looking at the news and it is truly disheartening. But I am reminded in times such as these that Jesus gives us hope. He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Sometimes when we see so much pain, its hard to believe that God is in control or that we can believe what he's promised us. John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
Last night, in coversation with my daughter, I told her how my prayer has always been for my daughters to have a greater, stronger faith in God and to trust him no matter what they experience or what they go through. I pray that they can be better Christians than I have ever been and that they may be strong women of faith. My prayer is also for the believers all around the world who are suffering and for the unbelievers that they might be saved and know salvation through Jesus Christ.
